Who Wants To Be In The Dancemob

I’m sure you have all heard of Flash Mobs, such as those crazy pillow fights involving hundreds of people or for example the recent one in central London, where thousands of people turned up to dance to the music of Michael Jackson.

I think you get the picture, if not let me explain it a little bit more for those that live under a rock or don’t get out too much, Flash Mobs are seemingly unplanned events that involve hundreds or even thousands of people who all suddenly congregate in a public place at exactly the same time, for whatever the reason may be, such as to pillow fight, dance or to do something crazy. Then at a specified time the mob then disperses in different directions as if nothing had ever happened.

Now you have a chance to be in something called Dancemob, which is I suppose based upon the principles of Flash Mob. Dancemob basically involves everyone learning the same routine beforehand and then turn up for a mass synchronised dance. This event will be taken place outside the South Bank Centre and along the bank of the River Thames.

I for one feel that this sounds like a  fun way to spend some time on a Sunday afternoon down by the River Thames. Dancemob will be taking place at 3pm on the 30th of August and is free and open to everyone. Don’t worry if you cant dance, neither can 90% of the people taking part in it. You can learn the moves, which aren’t too difficult via the South Bank Centre web site.

Dancemob is all about having some fun and being in a unique event, which is I may add a lot more interesting than  that so called living art crap they are currently holding on the 4th Plinth at Trafalgar Square. What a bore that is and if it is meant to be  art then I am the new Picasso.

So what are you waiting for, get learning the moves, which will also give you a little bit of work out routine into the bargain. Dancemob London 2009 is coming your way……….
