Welcome To London Mayor Bloomberg And Hold On To Your Wallet

WELCOME TO LONDON Mayor of New York. Michael Bloomberg the Mayor of another one of the coolest cities in the world New York is in London.

From what I can gather he isn’t here on holiday, which is a pity because there is so much fun and excitement to be had doing all the touristy things that this amazing city has to offer. Hopefully our own buffoon of a Mayor Boris Johnson can show some good old London hospitality to Bloomberg during his short trip to the coolest city on the planet. Take him for a wee wander around Soho late at night, I’m sure he will like that!

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is in London on a fact finding mission to have a first hand look at London’s so called “ring of steel”, which is a security and surveillance operation that surrounds the City of London. It was first introduced during the IRA troubles, yes that terrorist war that claimed so many innocent life’s and which so many Yanks donated money too. The RING OF STEEL is a system that involves carefully laid out traffic control measures, along with loads of CCTV cameras dotted all over the place.

It seems that Mayor Bloomberg in the wake of the failed car bombing in Times Square and rightly so, he is attempting to gain some expert knowledge to make NYC a safer place. In his own words he said “I am here to learn from others, see what works best, and try to fix things before they become a problem. He sounds like a wise man of action rather than of cheap words.

I hope our own Mayor Buffoon Mayor Johnson can hopefully get some input from Bloomberg as to how to stem the flow of rising crime, including stabbings, shootings, murder, robberies, violence and anti social behaviour that is becoming such a big thing on the streets of London. As we all know it wasn’t that many years ago that NYC was a huge cesspool of crime, until the authorities took affirmative action to deal with the scum that was plaguing the city.

I know the crime figures in London are not as bad as in New York, but are the authorities in London going to wait until it gets even worse before they start taking drastic action. I think Buffoon Boris Johnson should take heed of Blomberg’s wise words “I am here to learn from others, see what works best, and try to fix things before they become a problem.”

What I find intriguing is that London has more than 500,000 CCTV cameras, which is more than any other city in the world, yet they don’t seem to be having much of an effect on crime. They are maybe possible good at catching some criminals after they have committed the crime, that is if the cameras picks up their face properly.

Not so long ago one of my friends had his mountain bike stolen, when it was surrounded by CCTV cameras but the cops told him that the picture they had of the suspect steeling it was next to useless. Is that not complete bull shit or what! Or what about that gay guy that was beaten to death not so long ago, in full view of the CCTV cameras at Trafalgar Square by a bunch of boozed up and drunk teenage thugs. The cameras helped to catch the culprits but that is no consolation to the dead man. And what about all those smash and grab raids in central London the cameras done a great job of filming them….

In my humble wee opinion the CCTV cameras are not much good if the operators of them can’t alert the cops before possible trouble begins and if the nearest cops are miles away what use is that. We need more and better quality policemen and woman on the streets…..That is the bottom line, if not all we will be doing is filming the terrorists planting their bombs and blowing things up. Mayor Blomberg I think you can learn something from my wise words….!
