Wakey, Wakey Polish Style

Wakey, Wakey Polish Style

I’m putting my feet up and taking things real easy this weekend. Which means no work, no exercise and basically doing as little as possible. Sometimes in life it is good to do absolutely nowt.

How dull would life be if all we did was work ourself into an early grave. I have worked real hard this week, probably around 70 hours or so, which in my book entitles me to taking it easy for a few days and I’m the boss so I guess I can. I may not be making much money but I’m getting by and things are headed in the right direction and I figure that by resting up my overworked brain I will be rejuvenated come Monday and ready to get back on track with reaching my goals.

I normally get up around 7.30am but since this is a weekend of slobbery and debauchery I had a late night last night, which involved some delicious red wine which I received from Pizza Express on Tuesday night called Sangiovese. A real nice fruity Italian red that goes wonderfully well with Stovies. I also caught up with a few television programmes that I like, such as Burns Notice, The Mentalist, NCIS, Flash Forward and Numbers, which resulted in me heading to my pit around 2am.

I don’t know about you, but I need to get 8 hours of shut eye, it is a must. If I don’t I will generally feel like crap for a good few hours when I wake up in the morning and will need a siesta later on in the day to get back on  track.

Going to bed at 2am meant waking up at 10am for me to have my 8 hours of beauty sleep, which would basically be a minor miracle round here. If its not some lunatic arguing with their own shadow walking past my window wakening me up, it will be the cop sirens blasting down Kilburn High Road. I always think it is so nice of the cops to let the crooks know they are on the way. Just like a few weeks ago when the up and coming teen gangsters were up to no good down the local lane, as soon as they heard the cop sirens they were out of there in a flash.

I was in a the middle of a fantastic dream this morning. The sun was shining I was lying on a beautiful beach on a deserted paradise like island some place in the Indian Ocean. I was lazing around on a luxurious beach bed with my girl, being fanned by 3 beautiful ladies with palm leafs as I consumed copious amounts of Pina Colada, life was good, life was sweet. I was in paradise and I was loving it.

Then at around 7.00am my dream was destroyed by loud music blasting out from the Polish guys flat up above. BOOM, BOOM, fucking BOOM pumping through the air. I couldn’t believe it. I don’t mind having to listen to their crap music at night. But at 7.00am in the morning that’s a bit too much.

I don’t know if it was their sound system set up as an alarm clock to wake them up in the morning, but if it was the fuckers took 5 minutes to switch it off. It was so loud they must have woken half the street. I guess it was wakey, wakey polish style this morning. After that racket it I was well and truly woken up.

  1. I just thought that NCIS is a copy cat of CSI.;.-
