Voice Recognition Elevator – ELEVEN!

Us Scots have an awesome sense of humour and we sure aint afraid to poke fun at ourselves. A very funny video that I stumbled across a while back called  Voice Recognition Elevator – ELEVEN! never fails to bring a smile to my face!

Written by and starring Iain Connell and Robert Florence, as two hapless Scotsman stuck in a voice operated lift that doesn’t understand Scottish. Will the duo eventually make it to the eleventh floor, will they eventually get the voice recognition system to understand their Scottish voices…not a chance!

I have personally experienced a few funny moments when dealing with call centres in India, it’s always in India – where some of them seem to have real problems with the Scottish accent. And I don’t even have much of an accent. I would hate to think how they cope with Glaswegians or some of those hairy Highlanders who can have quite a strong accent.

Anyway, on a slightly chill day in London here is Connell and Florence being driven mad by the voice operated lift. If this doesn’t bring a smile to your face…nothing will! Watch as the boys try an American accent and  then an English accent. ‘I’m going to keep saying it until they understand Scottish’, eleven…eleven…eleven!
