Travellers Avoid A Scam Company Called Flights Gateway Ltd and Ramesh Chandra
London Is Cool is a blog that isn’t scared to name and shame scamming scumbags! Please avoid all business dealings with a company called Flight Gateway Ltd and the company director 26 year old Ramesh Kumar Chandra who is from Nepal and currently residing in the NW10 area of London.
Thankfully Google has finally pulled the company web site, http://theflightsgateway.com. The bank has frozen the bank account of Ramesh Chandra after scores of complaints from ripped off customers! The police… well due to Government cut backs they haven’t started investigating yet, but I’m sure when the official complaints start piling up they will eventually do their job!
It’s funny how the Metropolitan police force here in London seem to respond with great speed and efficiency when the Olympic diver Tom Daley received a couple of playground insults on Twitter! If only they would show the same urgency when dealing with fraud… I guess hard working people getting scammed by fraudsters is just not as important as rich famous twats getting insulted! I better watch out the cops will be knocking on my door!
Basically what Ramesh Chandra has done is set up a boiler room in his grubby little flat in NW10 – for legal reasons I cannot disclose his address. The sole purpose of his company, which was only set up on the 5 Sep 2012 was to scam hard working gullible people out of their money!
This is how the scam worked. Set up a company, Flights Gateway Ltd. Pretend you are based in a business centre in Reading. Launch web site http://theflightsgateway.com, they sold flights to various destinations around the world, mainly long haul flights to expensive destinations. When the customer phones up tell them that they have to pay by bank transfer into the company business account – which turns out to be the now frozen personal bank account of Ramesh Chandra. Flights Gateway Ltd then pretend to book the flight, send you all the details and confirmation via email. In reality the company doesn’t book the flight with the airline, they pocket the money! A simple scam… a very lucrative scam!
I personally haven’t been scammed by Flights Gateway Ltd, but I have been helping someone who has been scammed by them. Figure this one out… I called up the bank of Flights Gateway, every day last week! Each day I get a different story as to what I need to do… we can’t deal with it they tell me, you must contact Trading Standards, the police etc! There is nothing we can do… WTF! I ask, so you are happy that one of your customers is using their bank account to commit fraud? It seems so!
You figure this one out! Today I manage to talk to someone in their Fraud Department with sense, who instantly said right we need to get his bank account shut down asap! Wait for it… he then tells me the account was frozen 10 days ago after numerous complaints… WTF… WTF! Seemingly there is still a huge amount of money in scamming scumbag Ramesh Chandra’s bank account, which will be shared out equally with everyone who has been scammed! In the meantime before anybody can get their money back the police need to get moving!
I reported the matter to the police on Wednesday 24 September last week. As of today Monday 29 of September they haven’t even assigned someone to the case! At least I have a crime reference number… I bet if I insulted Tom Daley on Twitter right now the cops would be banging on my door before the day is out!
The Police need to do their job and charge Ramesh Kumar Chandra and eventually the courts need to send this fraudster to jail and then deport him back to Nepal. But hey that is just my common sense opinion! I know Ramesh has probably formed some sort of relationship with a pussy cat, which means his human rights will have been violated and it will be impossible to deport him…
