Tower Of London Cannons Aimed At The Tourists From The Far East

The tourists from the Far East never realised how close to danger they were, when they walked past the fully loaded cannons beside the Tower of London. If you believe that you must be an American that doesn’t get out much!

There is something that I have always found intriguing and disturbing about old cannons like the ones you find outside the Tower of London. They sure are an interesting looking sight, as well as being powerful looking beasts, that were designed to kill the so called enemy.

Watching those tourists walking past the cannon as I took aim with my camera brought home to me how ingenious men have become at killing each other, through the centuries.

War and warfare may have become unbelievable advanced as far as the weapons that are used now a days are concerned. But the one thing that I feel hasn’t changed about war is the brutality of it. Getting shot, injured, mutilated and killed due to war is much the same as it was thousands of years ago, apart from the weapons that are used are more advanced and brutal.
