Tough Luck England

Tough luck England on your deserved exit from the 2010 Football World Cup in South Africa. I’m sure you will win  it in 2014…of course you will! If you had listened to the British football pundits, the English journalists and the players before the world cup had began, the rest of the teams were wasting their time turning up. England were going to win it. I personally thought England would have made it to the quarter finals and then got found out.

I will summarise the England world cup campaign. You talk a good show, about what your going to do. The truth of the matter is that every single player that pulled on the English shirt in South Africa was a fake…Not one single player showed any heart, desire or passion for his country. Sure there will be one or two clowns out there that will harp on about the Frank Lampard goal that was miraculously missed by the linesman and ref, but at the end of the day, England were lucky that they never never got mascaraed.

England were dismal against the useless Yanks, a joke against Algeria. They did however manage to win one game, when they beat Slovenia…who? Was there any good points concerning this English world cup campaign, well there was one, the English fans managed to behave perfectly well. And I feel that Capello made a big mistake by not inviting the wags, at least they would have given us a good laugh!

My thoughts on England’s demise are a wee bit behind schedule because I had to watch the game a day late! I never wasted my time watching the game live, I was too busy enjoying the sun, sea and sand at Southend-on-Sea. Sometimes there are better things to do than watch a bunch of overrated ego maniacs kicking a ball about!

Being a Scotsman I aint gonna gloat too much. Scotland wouldn’t win the world cup if you gave us a bye to the final and a two goal start.

I guess Franz Beckenbauer got it right when he gave his thoughts on England’s ability, that they were, ‘just a kick and rush side.’ Maybe in the future the English press should stop and listen to what someone with as much knowledge as Beckenbauer says, instead of starting a hate campaign against him! Lets finish off today’s article with a few words from Franz Beckenbauer, ‘Germany were better than England.’
