Time Is Money So They Say
Time is money…money is time…but what if you don’t have any time left, what happens to all the money? And as we all know at some point in our existences hear on earth as human beings, time runs out on us all one day…
Today was of course Notting Hill Carnival and whilst I was there having a ball enjoying the Caribbean vibe, I couldn’t help but overhear a guy who I will refer to as Mr X muttering an old cliché to his friends, that I can’t stand to hear, it truly twists my mellow…Time Is Money!
It was around 11am and things were still fairly quiet on Ladbroke Grove at this point…a few hours later and it would be unbelievable busy. Anyway Mr X who was the spitting image of Scrooge, he really was…he looked like a miserable miser. Mr X was walking with his eyes looking down to the ground, when as he passed the couple standing next to me (a guy and a girl), they both at virtually the same time said ‘hello Mr X’ with big welcoming smiles on there faces, greeting him like a long lost friend. Happiness all around…
Mr X barely lifted his eyes from the ground when he said hello, and after 1 minute…yes 1 measly minutes small talk…Mr X said those words, ‘time is money, I have to get going’…and off he went! Leaving the couple with a wtf look on their faces. Would it really have hurt Mr X to put a smile on his Scrooge like face and stop and talk to his friends for a few minutes? The girl said to the guy ‘wow he has changed, he never use to be so rude.’ Well he is now…it’s all about TIME IS MONEY for Mr X.
Time is money…money is time…but what if you don’t have any time left, what happens to all the money? And as we all know at some point in our existences hear on earth as human beings time runs out on us all one day. The bottom line is that no matter what, you can never replace time, but you can always find a way to replace money…go figure it out!
