The Wandering Scotsman, Becks Vier, Groundnuts And Chilling Out Time

What a crazy sounding combination..me yours truly William K Wallace the Wandering Scotsman, four cans of Becks Vier, a huge bag of groundnuts all the way from Botswana, my favourite selection of tunes from the past 40 years and some serious chilling out in the epicentre of the world Kilburn, London.

Last night I had a party invite…free booze…free food and some cool music. Normally such nights out get me excited and ready to party like a mad man, but for some strange reason last night I decided to become totally antisocial. My African Princess was working till late, which meant I was home alone. I’m not the sort of guy that is afraid of his own company…well not all the time!

I was getting myself ready for the big party…I was feeling good and in the mood  for some serious grooving and boozing. I had just taken a shower and was listening to a few tunes on my ipod nano, which was hooked up to speakers – dancing around in the nude on top of my bed, like you do when your home alone!

Life was good, I was feeling on top of the world…I opened up a can of Becks Vier and poured it into the artist inspired pint glass I received a few days earlier, grabbed a handful of those ground nuts grown by African Princesses mother on the family farm, then planted my bottom down on the settee for some chilling out time before I hit the road to the party. Before I knew it, 1 hour, 2 hours and 3 hours had passed before I remembered that  I was meant to be partying.

Instead of drinking countless fancy cocktails, champagne and  listening to the latest cutting edge music, I was home alone with some  ice cold cans of Becks Vier, which were rather good, some groundnuts which were rather tasty and my own selection of music, which was pretty fucking good if you ask me. I never realised my taste in music was so cool…I cant understand why my African Princess is shaking her head and saying no, no, no…

I had the Bay City Rollers blasting out ‘Summer Love Sensation’, The Clash and ‘I Fought The Law’, Sean Kingston’s ‘Beautiful Girls’, Tinie Tempah ‘Frisky’, Marillion and the old classic ‘Kayleigh’, Stone Roses ‘I Wanna Be Adored’, Ellie Goulding ‘Starry Eyed’, 2Pac ‘California Love’, Tom Petty ‘Free Falllin’, The Who ‘ Wont Get Fooled Again’, Joy Division ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’,  Bob Marley ‘Redemption Song’ to name but a few of the tunes I was enjoying last night. Have I got diverse taste in music or what. I listen to what I like, not what other people tell me to like!

Sometimes it is good to put your feet up at home, crack open a few beers, munch on some groundnuts, listen to whatever the hell tunes you want to, dance around with as little clothes on as you feel like wearing and just do some chilling out….Sometimes it doesn’t take a lot for me to have a good time!
