The Squirrel Is About To Get Eaten By A Big Bad Dog

The Squirrel Is About To Get Eaten By A Big Bad Dog

I was out and about at Greenwich Park during the week, enjoying a wee bit of tranquillity. I was badly needing some inspiration and a clear mind as I was putting together ideas for a movie script that I’m working on. At Greenwich Park there are squirrels everywhere. In fact the place is like a squirrles sanctuary as there is that many of them.

Squirrles seem like harmless wee beasties, but believe it or not they are not exactly vegetarians. The main diet of a squirrle is mainly nuts, fruits, fungi, flowers and plant buds. However the wee monsters are also known to eat birds eggs, as well nestlings and little birds when they catch them.

I don’t think they have too many predators in Greenwich Park, I guess that’s why there is so many of the little fuckers. I must admit squirrels look kind of harmless and innocent, but I suppose if you witness one them munching on a wee bird your perception of them may change a little bit.

I suppose that’s just the law of the jungle as the saying goes, animals are animals after all and they have got to survive and eat. They cant go to the supermarket and buy food and I don’t suppose they get dole money, child benefit or tax credits to help them survive!

Feeding a few nuts to a squirrel can be therapeutic as they seem to really appreciate and enjoy your kind gesture. Some of them are so tame that they will come right up to you looking for something to eat, they will virtually eat a nut right out of your hand.

Also any time I’m at the park, dogs seem to love squirrels, I guess that’s why they to like chase them. I can imagine when a dog catches a squirrel, which I imagine they do from time to time, they will rip the little thing to bits.

In fact I almost witnessed a cute wee friendly squirrel nearly go to squirrle heaven, in Greenwich Park the other day. A big terrier dog nearly got its chops around one. It was a miracle that the squirrel escaped. In fact it managed to run up a tree with a split second to spare. It sure was a flying squirrel, I swear I think it grew a pair of wings it flew that fast.

I was tempted to give the dog a kick when it ran past me to help out the wee squirrel but I reminded myself it was only nature. I after all have a Staffordshire Bull Terrier that loves to chase cats and dogs. But it is a big softy and that wouldn’t actually do anything if it caught up with one, That is unless the other dog wanted a fight, then that’s something different. My dog is actually strange in the fact it would just look at a cat and walk past it, without doing anything when it sees one. Honestly we once walked past a dead cat at the side of the road and my Staffie had a tear in her eye.

For me a trip to the park without seeing those wee beasties known as squirrels running around just wouldn’t be the same. I will have to make sure I take some nuts to the park next time so my girl can feed them.

It’s true.. Squirrels are not totally vegetarian. They feed on mainly nuts, etc.. but as you know, they are kinda seasonal. So when their food runs out, they search for meat. It’s all a matter of survival. I just learned about this fact myself. Nevertheless, they are still cute lil’ creatures.. :)

Two questions: why does that squirrel have such an enormous white glint in its pupil, suggesting it is demon-possessed? If, as you say, you have an ambition to be a writer (“putting together ideas for a movie script that I’m working on”), then how is it possible that you twice misspelled the word “squirrel” as “squirrle”? Do we not crawl before walking, and walk before running?

Maybe you need to think outside the box and think as to why I would purposely misspell squirrel.

Squirrle is the most common way for the word squirrel to be misspelled, I don’t really need to spell things out for you now, do I? It is all about picking up search engine traffic from Google for people that don’t know how to spell properly…!

Anyway the writing of a movie script is all about the creating of an amazing story, it isn’t a spelling competition. And anyway I use word, which has a spell checker so you don’t need to worry about me making spelling mistakes. But thanks for your kind concern. Remember what I said about thinking outside the confines of the box…..
