The Jelly Baby Family of Marble Arch
London is a city which has an abundance of cool public art on display. One of my personal favourite pieces is the Jelly Baby sculpture located at Marble Arch … if this installation doesn’t bring a smile to your face, I think you may need a character transplant!
The brightly coloured Jelly Baby family of seven, sure do enhance Marble Arch. The father stands 3.2m tall and the twins are 2.3m tall. They are big Jelly Babies…
The Jelly Baby sculpture which is made of resin was created by Italian pop artist Mauro Perucchetti. And from what I can gather it was only meant to be on display until April 2011 and here we are in September and it’s still there. So its anyone’s a guess as to how long this colourful sculpture will be brightening up Marble Arch for … go check it out while you can.
Maybe the Jelly Baby family of Marble Arch could stay there indefinitely, but alas, I’m not sure how long the resin could handle the London weather for…
