Stunning Kilburn Sunrise – Picture of the Day From London

Beauty and tranquilly can be found in the most unlikely of places…

It was 8am on Saturday morning when I captured today’s featured picture at Brondesbury Overground Station which is located on Kilburn High Road. The air was coldish, it never really gets bitterly cold in London no matter what some may say! Most people were hiding from the early morning brisk air, not me I was standing alone on the platform waiting for the train and enjoying the view…

The beautiful sunset which was unfolding in the morning sky could only be seen by walking along the platform to the gap in the buildings where the sun could be seen. The sky was a wondrous shade of orange, the sun was bright and I felt energized as I enjoyed the view…

For once I was in no hurry for the train to turn up. Why couldn’t it turn up late…it usually does! No such luck, the train arrived bang on time. The passengers headed onto the platform and jumped aboard the train. Every single one of them missed out on the beautiful picture that was filling up the sky.

Beauty and tranquilly can be found in the most unlikely of places… you just have to open your eyes!

  1. They only ever turn up on time when you’re not in a hurry.

  2. Funny how folks often don’t stop and smell the roses, or watch a beautiful sunrise, or a million other things. Too bad.

    Have a terrific day. 🙂
