Stop Feeding Mr Fox Sandwiches People Of Kilburn
I was wandering around Kilburn at around 10pm last night enjoying the cool night air, when I came across a notice posted on a fence that I found kinda funny. It simply said please stop feeding the fox sandwiches or leftover food. It got me to thinking what kind of sandwiches Mr Fox was partial too and whether it liked mayonnaise and salad on it.
For fucks sake, who would go and make a fox a sandwich and leave it outside their door. Whilst they are at it they might as well leave a glass of milk as well. And maybe a light a few candles and put on some soothing music so the fox really enjoys it.
I cant help but notice that there seems to be quite a few missing cats in my part of Kilburn. It seems like every street has notices pinned to trees saying lost cat. Maybe the fox is partial to bit more than sandwiches and leftover food. Maybe it is a wee bit partial to something furry and cute.
Seemingly foxes adjust to city life perfectly well. There are rich picking for them from litter bins, discarded takeaway food and of course do gooders feeding them. I still find it a strange site watching foxes roam around city streets.
In my 30 something years living back home in Aberdeen, I think I personally seen about two foxes wandering around the in the city. Here in Kilburn it is a regular occurrence. In fact not long after I read the sign last night, Mr Fox appeared on its night time search for some sandwiches. In fact the fox was looking at me like I was a sandwich.
