Spirit Of Life: Forgotten Moment From the Summer of 2013

Last summer… the last Friday of July I enjoyed a wee wander and chilling out time at Hyde Park. It was a glorious summers day, the sky was blue, the sun was shining bright and the air was warm… those kind of days, especially when I had a day off, seemed to very rarely happen… This is London, and you don’t live here for the good weather!

Whenever I’m down in that neck of the woods, I always take a detour to Park Lane, beside the Dorchester Hotel to check out the latest sculpture. Last summer… the sculpture on display was a particularly beautiful piece called “Spirit Of Life” by Helaine Blumenfeld: made of marble, standing 4 metres tall and weighing 6 tons.

The reason I’m blogging about last summer, on a rainy winters day is basically because I have a shit memory sometimes! Whilst cleaning up all the pictures I have stored on my laptop I found the pictures I took of what is a  stunning piece of sculpture. Better late than never… as they say!
