Something To Do In London This Weekend: River Walk

Something To Do In London This Weekend: River Walk

Oh what to do in London this weekend… how about using your two feet and going for a wee stroll along the River Thames: something I have personally done many, many times at all times of the day and night and in all weather conditions.

I have said it a thousand times… when you walk around, whether it’s London,  any village, town, or city in the world, open your eyes. Look up, look down, look in every direction, take detours, go off the beaten path, wander around without any set plan. You never know what you might discover.

My favourite London walks are along the River Thames… there is so much f**king life. The people, buskers, boats on the water, buildings – old and new – monuments, statues and history in abundance.

Start at Westminster Bridge, give a two finger salute to those who want to destroy our way of life and start walking. Walk as far as you can or want to, stop and enjoy the view from one of the many benches that sit next to the River Thames. Cross over at whatever bridge you want and finish back where you started from. Then of course go for a well earned pint of ale… or whatever it is that tickles your fancy…

I would rather walk around London any day of the week, as opposed to cycling: you will see so much more and have a much, much more relaxed time. Something to do in London this weekend… just do something, anything. Get out there and enjoy yourself whether you are a local or visitor.
