Seeking Some Inspiration And Motivation In London

Life is an adventure and journey, which can be as good, bad, fun or as exciting as we ourselves make it. Nothing is more certain than the fact, that if we are not happy with the way our life’s are going, the only person that can improve things is you guessed it ourselves. We can sit on our bottoms and do nothing and hope that somehow things will go the way we want them too, yeah right, sure they will!

So here I am in London the capital of cool,  which is  one of the most exciting cities in the world, feeling that life is lacking something. The adventure and excitement that usually makes my life tick, have  suddenly vanished from my soul. I’m seeking some inspiration so that I can get motivated to make life feel like it has more meaning again.

Maybe I need to take the tube and go for a walk and some relaxation time at Hampstead Heath. When I was back home in Aberdeen and living in Barbados for that matter, anytime I was seeking some inspiration or ideas, I would head to the beach and go for a walk, then sit and watch the waves. It would usually work wonders and after a few hours my desire to get back on track would miraculously return.

I suppose at the moment my biggest problem is procrastinating, and by that I mean instead of  focusing on what I’m meant to do be doing, which is concentrating  on my business ideas and getting on with developing them. However I’m regularly finding myself sidetracked by things such as Twitter, Messenger, MySpace or friends texting me, does that ring a bell for other people out there.

I don’t want to even think about how much time and concentration I lose by not staying focussed on the things I want to achieve. I know I better refocus myself or I will be back working for the boss man and having my life ruled by the clock again. The thought of embarking upon the career path again fills me with dread, in fact it keeps me awake at night.

I have heard it said by numerous people that our destiny is decided and that our life’s path has been determined for us. I personally feel that this is a cop out and what would the point of life be, if this was the case. I think that what happens in our life’s is decided by ourselves and  the choices, which we personally make shape our destiny. It is a fact that some of us keep on walking down the wrong path, we don’t put enough effort, time or thought into, achieving the things that we desire and are capable of.

We can all start on the path to achieving what we want out of life, any second that we chose too. I think the biggest problem with many people is that we keep on putting the moment off until another day, then before we know it, that day has turned into years.

This very second I have taken the first step in life towards achieving my dreams. I have bought the domain name to my new adventure and it will take a lot of hard work, time and effort, but it is within my grasp. All it takes is some inspiration followed by a lot of motivation and self believe. I almost forgot, you have to have dreams, because if you don’t have dreams how can you make them come true………

  1. Sometimes I wonder whether social media (twitter, facebook and the whole works) are worth all the time spent on them.

I know what you mean about procrastinating for I am a master of that.

Well, cheer up and go for a jog. Might help, at least that did it for me.
