Reflection At 350 Euston Road – Anthony Gormley Sculpture

Whilst out and about on an adventure, wandering aimlessly along the mean streets of London Town I stumbled upon the Anthony Gormley sculpture ‘Reflection’, which is located at 350 Euston Road. I’m not big expert on art, but even I knew that this piece was a Gormley from 50 feet away – hey he has a winning formula, so why not stick to what works and makes lots of money, instead of doing something truly oringal and ground breaking!

Reflection features a very familiar rust coloured Gormley figure looking at his twin through a window, which kind of creates a hologram effect. Whether you are a fan of the renowned award-winning artist or not, he does create eye catching sculptures. I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit any Gormley, each to their own, but if I ever pass by one I will stop for a moment, take a look and snap a couple of pictures…

“Why, Sir, you find no man, at all intellectual, who is willing to leave London. No, Sir, when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford.”
— Samuel Johnson

  1. Interesting! I have never heard of this artist but I am sure I must have seen some of his work before. It is not unlike Ofra Zimbalista’s men.

  2. Way cool. I like this. You do get out and about a lot and you sure enjoy smelling the roses along the way.

    Have a terrific day. 🙂

  3. Interesting!
Have to see this when I go to Euston tomorrow. 😉

  4. Gormley amazes me, not in a good way though! Load of shite!

  5. Emm, he is pretty famous and has quite a few pieces on display in London.

Comedy Plus, get out there keeps me amused…

Loncon Caller, it is worth checking out if you are in the area.

Alex, I’m not a big fan either… he is a snake oil salesman!
