Mastercard Priceless London @ the V&A

Mastercard Priceless London @ the V&A

Last night I was invited to the latest Mastercard Priceless London event at the Victoria & Albert Museum, which featured the Queen Elizabeth II exhibition by the legendary photographer Cecil Beaton. An exhibition which is worth checking out, but unfortunately you wont be able to enjoy the special experience that I enjoyed last night.

The Mastercard Priceless London concept is about creating memorable experiences for their cardholders, by giving them exclusive events, with privileged access. If you aren’t a card holder you can’t join the party! So last nights event was created especially for… if you have been paying attention you will know… for those who have a Mastercard and who signed up for the event at www.pricelesslondon.co.uk.

There was a jazz trio playing in the corner, champagne was flowing and people were enjoying the vibe of being in the beautiful surroundings of the lobby area of the V&A. The ambiance really was amazing, I honestly don’t think I came across one unhappy looking person during the 3 hours I spent there… apart from perhaps on a few photographs featuring Prince Philip!

The Queen Elizabeth II exhibition by Cecil Beaton was aimed at those who like a bit of culture in their life’s, which is what I’m all about! Other events have included intimate concerts, in fact I attended a James Morrison gig at the Under the Bridge a few months ago, which was a Priceless event. Other experiences in the past and in the future will include opportunities to meet the casts of West End shows and tours of exhibitions with their curators, and much more.

Cecil Beaton will forever be remembered for his role as Royal Photographer and he captured many captivating and enduring images of the royals during his career. This year is of course the Diamond Jubilee and from the 1940’s to the 1960’s, the teenage princess to mother, and Queen, she posed for Beaton numerous times. Whether you are a royal fan… or not Beaton managed to capture some extraordinary moments in time. The exhibition ends on the 22nd of April.

Mastercard Priceless London really do push the boat out to create memorable occassions. From the moment I walked up the grand candle lit stairs of the Victoria & Albert Museum last night, until the moment I walked back down them 3 hours later I felt like had been part of a Priceless experience.

  1. Sounds like fun to me, but you know how much I love champagne. I would have enjoyed this very much even though I’m not a big fan of the royals. Just saying.

    Have a terrific day. 🙂

  2. Comedy Plus, it was fun…

  3. Look like a great event, it is definitely something i would enjoy. the V and A museum is an amazing place and the building itself is stunning so I can imagine that a candlelit evening there would be very special indeed.

    Glad you enjoyed your visit.

  4. LLM, I will have to pay the V & A visit in the next couple of weeks, it has been too long since I toured the place.
