Today was a virginal experience for me, it was my first ever experience of snow in London, England the capital of cool. My African princess would rather refer to London as the capital of cold. But what does she know.
I was out and about down at Baker Street visiting my old friend Sherlock Holmes, when a few tiny snow flakes starting falling from the sky. I thought I was maybe hallucinating again after having one two many cups of Green Tea and Ginger in the morning with my breakfast.
The couple of snow flakes quickly turned into a bit of a flurry, which was good to see. I headed over to The Regents Park to enjoy the festive Winter weather. Don’t you just love the snow. There is something I truly love about wandering around a nice park whist its snowing, it brings a good feeling to my heart and soul. Unfortunately all good things must come to an end, the snow only lasted for about 10 minutes.
It is of course Winter time in London and every time I step oot of my door, I’m dressed for the occasion, any smart person would be. I walked past a girl this morning who was either on drugs, crazy or just plain old dumb. It was fairly cold, the snow was fallen and she was wearing a t-shirt and carrying her jacket in her hand. Totally insane.
I can imagine my African Princess was shaking all over because of the cold weather as she made her way to work this morning. If she thinks this is cold wait till I take her up to Contin in the Scottish Highlands one of these Winters and she will know what freezing is all about. It is making me cold just thinking about it!
