London Poppy Walk

The Royal British Legion annual poppy walk is taking place on Sunday 18 July here in London, which is an event that raises money for former and current members of the armed forces. It really is a worthy cause. Not only are you helping to raise money for a worthwhile cause, but you going to having a bit of fun as well.

The Poppy walk kicks off from the Royal British Legion HQ in Southwark and involves a 10km circular walk around London, taking in many of the cities famous landmarks and hidden gems. To make things a little bit more fun you will be given a quiz to follow that will help to increase your knowledge of London.

The good news is that the weather is going to be fairly good on Sunday, so why not get yourself, and the family along for an enjoyable day out wandering around London helping to raise money for those that have and continue to give so much so that we can have our freedom and liberty.

If you are interested in taking part in this event, which is helping to raise money that really does go towards a good cause, it isn’t too late to sign up. The walk takes place on Sunday 18th July (this Sunday!) and those wishing to take part are invited to contact Rebecca Pride (rpride@britishlegion.org.uk) and registration 9:30am at The Royal British Legion headquarters (199 Borough High St, London,SE1 1AA).
