London Girls Give Us A Fu**ing Break
I was sitting on the tube the other day, when I picked up one of those free daily newspapers, which are usually as interesting as the price that they cost. But occasionally and I mean very occasionally they help to pass the time on a long and boring journey.
I came across a section in a rag that was called The Docklands and a featured article called “The Single Life” with Tracey Tarling and Ben Welch and their personal experiences of dating in London in the 21st century.
Lets start of with Ben and after looking at his picture and reading about him, I fear he maybe be single for a hell of a long time. Now it was the ramblings of the girl that had me laughing out aloud. She was whingeing on about having to pay for lunch on her second date with a guy and how she almost had to call the paramedics to resusatate her because she had to spend money on something other than on herself. (Okay I will be honest, I added the last bit myself, but it is probably true).
Tracy went on to explain her attitude towards dating in the 21st century! “I’m all for a girl offering up a token gesture of payment in the first couple of dates, maybe a round at the bar or the popcorn at the cinema, but for him to expect me to pay for the whole meal was a bit of a shock”. Maybe Tracy is the kinda girl that likes to pay her way with guys in kind, if you know what I mean! Those days are long gone Tracy, equality is very much alive.
Unfortunately Tracy isn’t alone in her prehistoric and self absorbed thoughts. I was sitting on the bus today listening to a London girl called Jane moaning about her date with a guy that she had met from MySpace. Would you believe the guy had the cheek not to buy this girl drink the whole night. He had bought the first drink and patiently waited for poor Jane to buy the second round. Jane was outraged and believe me she used the F word a number of times as she cussed the modern guy.
London girls give us guys a fu**cking break, haven’t you heard there is a recession going on. Also nowadays we guys like to look good, smell sweet and wear nice clothes too. If make we ourselves broke spending all our money on the actual date itself, we would then have you complaining that we turned up looking like a dogs dinner. It is after all the 21st century and it is time to get with the century that you are living in and spend a little bit on treating us guys, we after all deserve it!

women believe men have to spoil their dates.
culturally men have to take care of everything.
You have to get with the times you are living in girl, It is the 21st century and the times have changed…
There is nothing wrong with a guy treating his girl occasionally but that goes both ways. You are a dinosaur…….
Us girls deserve to be treated from time to time, but I also love to treat my man from time to time as well, so it goes both ways. I know where you are coming from,there are girls out there that just expect everything for nothing and are just money grabbers and users of people.
Are you saying she shouldn’t expect to even be treated on the first date ? I’m fine with that ( I don’t care if I always pay for myself or he grabs one, I grab one ) . It would be a little odd though that he wouldn’t offer to pay at least on the first date. I’d either consider him really progressive or possibly poor. I might even interpret it that he isn’t into me ( not wanting to impress me ) .
I would say on the first date, that both people should split the tab. If things work out and you start seeing each on a regular basis then I would think about treating the girl, only if she was clearly into me!
If I invited the girl, I would usually pick up the tab unless she insisted on paying. I hate girls who expect me to pay all the time and is one reason I got along so well with my girlfriend who’s now my wife.
When women get paid just as much for doing the same job then talk. All you have to do is get some perfume and some clothes. We have to buy make up, clothes, get manicures, pedicures, wax and smell good just for guys to even give us a second look. There’s a reason why God created men and women. Otherwise he would’ve created one gender. Men are sopposed to work to bring back home the bread.
From my personal experience some woman are just plain old cheap and want everything for nothing. Fortunately there are plenty of woman out there that live in the 21st first century and want to stand on their own two feet. Such woman are usually winners….
And those that live their life’s expecting the man to look after them and take care of them will more than likely regret it in the long run. Those woman that think they have to rely on their looks and what they wear to attract a man, maybe need to expand their minds a little bit more….
I’m just keeping it real…
If I take a lady out for a meal and drinks and I’m paying for it all, she better be ready to pay up in the bedroom later. Believe me most of them are.
