Lies, Lies and More Lies, Courtesy Of The Greedy Oil Companies

They stand accused of what is likely to be the biggest environmental disaster the world has ever seen. It doesn’t come as any surprise to me that the culprits are OIL COMPANIES. British owned BP, Swiss company Transocean and the American giants Halliburton having all been fallen over backwards to try and put the blame for the Gulf of Mexico oil disaster onto someone except themselves.

There is of course a very, very good reason for not being responsible for the thousands of gallons of oil a day that is spewing out into the Gulf of Mexico and that is you guessed it hundreds of millions of dollars that the culprit is going to be hammered for in fines and the cost of cleaning up the mess… And believe me that has every single one of those top oil executives at BP, Transocean and Halliburton shitting themselves.

When you become as greedy as some of these companies have become, money is what the world is all about, fuck the environment, fuck the environmentalists, fuck the people effected by any disaster they create, the oil boys really don’t care. The oil guys even had a major hand in George Bush and his evil  and dastardly plan to invade Iraq so they could get there grubby hands on Saddam’s black gold….

The official statement from BP is that ONLY 5000 gallons of oil a day are pouring into the ocean a day…LIE, HUGE FUCKING LIE. New estimates from Florida State University oceanographer Ian MacDonald has estimated the rate is four or five times the government figure, the New York Times reported.

Other researchers who have analysed underwater video of the leak released by BP told US news media outlets the leak was spewing about 70,000 barrels per day, with a margin of error of plus-or-minus 20%. One thing that we can be certain of is that BP are LYING to try and make the situation seem better than it actually is, which is impossible.

Don’t these guys realise that the truth is what is required so that the people involved in the monumental clean up operation, can at least have some sort of realistic indication as to what they are up against. Lies are not going to help, they will get found out. President Obama doesn’t do things like Bush used too. Obama isn’t going to bend over and take it like Bush and his administration so willingly did. It isn’t all about the money any more…

For me attitude of all the oil companies the world over is summed up by the comments made by BP chief executive Tony Hayward, who said that “the Gulf of Mexico was a very big ocean and the spill relatively tiny in comparison.” They really don’t care do they. One thing I’m pretty certain of is that when Tony Howard made that unbelievable statement he wasn’t lying and meant every word of it…What chance has the environment got when you are up against an attitude like that…

  1. In truth, the real culprits are all of us. We all use oil and gas to move around, heat our homes and power our lives. If we had been more economical over the past 30 years, we wouldn’t be looking for oil in dangerous places such as the Gulf of Mexico.

It’s time that we all took responsibility for the consequences of our actions. The oil companies do not create the market, they merely try to satisfy it.

  2. You have a fair point…but at the end of the day the oil companies are the ones making billions upon billions of dollars of profit. Maybe they should think about making a little bit less PROFITS and concentrate on doing their job properly.

The oil excutives are also making million dollar salaires and huge bounuses, living in massive houses and driving fancy cars that most of us could only dream about.

The real culprits are the oil companies that care more about profit, than the enviroment which they rape at will…Maybe the USA government should have thought more about the dangers of allowing drilling to take place in such inhospitable places, but again money talks!

  3. Corporatists did this! NASA managed to get Americans to the Moon and back unharmed!Let a money grubbing corporatist into the picture, drive him hard with shareholders demands and watch the distortions of Science begin!Sad fact id: the corporate methodology is flawed!GM can’t even sell cars on its home turf anymore – same flawed corporatist thinking shows through in the products! American corporatists have lost out to China, who now hold the title, “Manufacturers to the World” and all this in recent decades! What legal loop-holes and corporate greed causes all this damage?

  4. I have to totally agree with you..! The only thing we know how to manufacture properly in the UK now is debt..!
