La Dolce Vita: Huge Hand and a Vespa!

La Dolce Vita seemingly means the sweet life in Italian and that was what I was in search of on Saturday afternoon as I embarked upon an adventure that would involve art, a secret garden, street food, delicious Somerset cider and real ale – not all of it was  good or even memorable, but I still had a great time!

My search for art led me to La Dolce Vita, the latest sculpture by Lorenzo Quinn to appear in London’s Park Lane. A giant hand holding a Vespa moped sure is an attention grabbing sight… I watched a bus full of excited tourists held up at the traffic lights who wanted to jump off their motorised cage and take a closer look!
