Just Another Day Crazy Sunny Day In London
It was 10.30am yesterday morning and it was boiling hot, so I had the window wide open to allow some of London’s much polluted air into my humble abode to try and cool it down a bit. Dam it was real hot, but I wont complain about it, because it sure as hell is better than freezing my ass off.
What is it with this sunny warm weather, it seems to be driving some people crazy. It was reasonable quiet outside, apart from the frequent cop car sirens blasting out as they rushed back to base for their coffee break, when suddenly all hell let loose outside. All I heard was some crazy woman shouting at some guy accusing him of putting rubbish in her bin. This woman just wouldn’t let up, she was ranting and raving like only a true lunatic knows how too.
I had a wee peek out my window to see what was happening and to see the people behind the voices. The woman sounded and looked like one of those Romanian Gypsies, most definably a fine upstanding citizen of the EEC! The guy she was unhappy with, who seems like a decent enough guy is the local Polish cafe owner who was giving as good as he got, but I will give credit to him at least he wasn’t shouting.
After about 5 minutes of ranting gypsy woman decided to leave and as she walked away she shouted out, “I’m going home to get a gun and come back and shoot you”. What a nice woman eh, all because she thinks the Polish guy put rubbish in her bin, which he more than likely didn’t because they have their own place for putting their rubbish across the road. If that I’m going to shoot you comment was made by a teen what’s the odd’s that the cops would have came and arrested him in flash, but if your a Romanian gypsy its acceptable.
This cafe owner isn’t having much luck recently. On Saturday afternoon I was walking past his cafe, when I an old Irish drunk was trying to tap money off the good folks sitting outside enjoying their food. Mr Cafe owner told him to basically get lost and walked him along the road a bit, because he wasn’t too keen on leaving. Next thing the old timer is threatening the cafe owner with the IRA, whom he was going to get to come back and shoot him. Yeah right, old timer I have a funny feeling come Sunday you wouldn’t even remember anything you said or done on Saturday.
I reckon it must be all this sunshine driving those old folks crazy. I just love the craziness and madness of London. There is always something happening, in fact earlier on this morning I couldn’t help but notice about 10 youths up the local lane with sticks in their hands. Of course the local community cops or the real cops were nowhere to be seen. And the CCTV camera operator must have been sound asleep as well or looking at the pretty girls walking down the road to have missed this lot wandering around!
