It’s Was All Going On In The Leake Street Graffiti Tunnel

It was all going on in the Leake Street graffiti tunnel on Saturday night there was a Japanese model posing against the back drop of graffiti … there was a couple of up and coming rappers filming a video to the back drop of graffiti, there were petrol heads taking pictures of their motors against the back drop of graffiti and there was even a couple graffiti artists creating their masterpieces. The legendary London graffiti tunnel was buzzing…

And the queue to get into the Boom Boom Club at the Old Vic Tunnels was in the middle of the graffiti tunnel and believe me there were quite a few people in slightly freakish clothes!

The Leak Street Tunnel is a place which I have visited on a number of occasions and I have always been impressed with the quality of the graffiti, however on this occasion there wasn’t as many great pieces as there has been in the past. In fact I was ‘big time’ disappointed with what I saw!

I was just about to leave London’s infamous Leake Street Graffiti Tunnel or as some people call it the Banksy Tunnel when a graffiti artists said to me ‘watch yourself around here mate there has been number of car jackings and muggings recently’. Typical of life in London…low life scum bags messing up things – young gangsters who have left school barley able to read and write who want everything for nothing! Maybe that is the reason the quality of graffiti has diminished recently due to people avoiding the area!
