It’s Bonkers Or I should Say Conkers!

Today’s featured picture is of conkers… It seems bonkers to me that the horse-chestnut trees in my favourite hang out for enjoying some rest and relaxation, Paddington Old Cemetery – the best graveyard in all of London – are already producing conkers.

The squirrels are busy having a feast, as well as storing away natures delight for the Winter months…

It seems like summer has barley begun – I guess that is down to how bad most of the summer has been this year – yet Autumn already seems to be creeping up. The leaves on some of the trees are also starting to change colour: I love it when the leaves turn golden brown, and especially so when they carpet the ground!

Autumn officially begins on Saturday, 22 September 2012. It wont be long before the amount of daylight hours starts to dwindle… which isn’t such a bad thing for me, because I will be able to get out and about with my new tripod and experiment with some night time photography without having to stay out past my bed time!
