I Do Like To Be By the Seaside – Blast From the Past

I do like to be by the Seaside was captured at Aberdeen Beach – my home city – at exactly 12:42pm on the 25 March 2008.

Today’s featured picture was taken only a few days before I began my travels, which saw me move to London then to Barbados and back again to London. It seems like an eternity ago, that I took this picture. My last trip to the seaside saw me walk the whole length of the beach which is just over 2 miles long and back again to my car; the wind was bracing, the air was fresh, the sun was even out and the views were fantastic.

Aberdeen Beach holds so many happy memories from childhood all the way to a youngster in his 40’s! Looking at this picture makes me want to pack up my suitcases and head back home to the fresh air and beautiful scenery, which even London can’t rival!

  1. You sound a bit homesick. I can relate. I was in a different country once upon a time and really missed home. There’s just no place like home and home is whatever your heart says it is.

    Have a terrific day. 🙂

  2. Comedy Plus, that’s true there is no place like home.
