Stuff This London Weather

If I was to say the weather in my home city of Aberdeen was unpredictable, that would be an understatement. On many a day I have experienced the four seasons in the same day. And a wonderful thing it is too, even though it can be a bit of pain deciding what to wear.

The weather in London is a wee bit more predictable and a hell of lot warmer but never the less it can still get a wee bit confusing here as well. And if there is one thing I need, it is not be confused any more than I already am.

I woke up this morning in sunny Kilburn, the sun was beating in my window. It felt like summer was here, again! I had my breakfast and got ready for my daily morning power walk from hell. I put on my shorts which have hardly seen the light of day since I arrived here from my adventure in Barbados and found a t-shirt that didn’t need ironed.

I had an extra spring in my step as I bounded down the stairs ready to get some sun on my skin. I truly appreciate good weather when we get it. And just as I reached the bottom of the stairs I abruptly ran up  them again. I had forgotten my shades…As soon I hit the street it wasn’t as warm as it seemed.

WTF it was a tad bit chilly, well it was if you were wearing shorts and a t-shirt. I would have to go at the speed of that Jamaican sprinter Bolt to warm up. I walked for about 100 meters or so and thought fuck this London weather and headed back home and put on a pair of Jeans and my cool new cardigan. I like to look good when I’m out for my stroll…

Two things  I have learned about the weather in London, never trust it and never believe the weather forecast….And you can take that to the bank…!
