Free Tate Modern Gig Tonight: Agit8

Free Tate Modern Gig Tonight: Agit8

London Is Cool loves a good cause, and of course free events! Tonight outside the Tate Modern a fairly decent line up bands are taking part in the Agit8 concert: part of the One Campaign to fight global poverty. The aim of the event is to put pressure on the G8 to further increase spending on international poverty reduction. Maybe they should also focus on international corruption, and by that I mean how much of the money donated to poverty causes ends up in bank accounts in tax havens!

Just added to the line up of bands taking part in tonight’s concert are the legendary Scottish band Biffy Clyro, who will be taking to the stage at 8pm. The mighty David Gray will be closing the show at 8.30pm.

Agit8 outside the Tate Modern tonight is definitely worth getting yourself along to. Some good music and a great cause into the bargain!
