Fake Bar Was An Aladdin’s Cave Full Of Counterfeit Goods
When I was wandering around Camden yesterday afternoon enjoying an amazingly delicious Honey and Ginger ice cream, which I had bought from the Legendary Marine Ices, I couldn’t help but notice a boarded up bar that went by the name of “Fake Club”.
I couldn’t resist grabbing a picture of the Fake Club, which by the looks of it is now the defunct Fake Club. It was seemingly a popular Karaoke bar not so long ago. But believe it or not and I find this fucking hilarious the owners got charged with…Wait for it..Being involved in the supply of fake designer merchandise.
The cops and trading standard officers raided the Fake Club a while back and supposedly found a stash of fake designer goods, including clothes, watches, handbags and jewellery, bearing famous logos such as Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton and Tiffany. I guess the Fake Club truly was as fake as it gets.
The cops had seemingly received tip off, that is how the Fake Bar owners got rumbled and their fake business was truly fucked up. Lets think about it, who would have thought about looking inside the Fake Bar for counterfeit goods? If the cops never received a tip off, they would have probably got away with it for years.
The couple who own the Fake Club are due to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court on June 1st. They have been charged with producing counterfeit goods and money laundering. I guess they will be hoping for a fake judge when they turn up in court, which shouldn’t be too hard to find in this country….
