Evil Blog Comments | How To Respond To Them

For me blogging is something that I don’t take too seriously. It is not about making money, it isn’t about feeding my ego, I don’t do it to become famous or to make new friends or find easy woman. You can do all of the aforementioned much more easily in the real world. I blog because I find it a fun thing to do and to voice my opinion on whatever the hell I want too.

It seems that a few of my more humorous articles have been taken the wrong way. In particular – Crazy Irish Bastard On The London Tube, All American Rednecks Are Banned From London Is Cool Forthwith and Listen Here Americans In London Its Tower Bridge, Not London Bridge. Oh boy those articles for some inexplicable reason seemed to upset a few Americans and some of the Irish.

I that know that  dozens of people were not happy with those articles because they told me so, via the comments that they left me. That is the beauty of blogs it is very easy to get feedback from your readers. I for obvious reasons couldn’t publish all of those comments because they were written using a wee bit too much bad language. If they had got there point across in a nicer manner I would have gladly published those comments.

So the moral of the story is if you don’t like what I have written, such is life. In the UK we are use to being allowed freedom of speech. I know you Americans think you have freedom of speech, but you guys are on the same level as the Chinese. By that I mean if you say something against your President, or make negative comments against your country or the illegal wars America has started, you are public enemy number 1 and are likely to have the FBI tapping your phones.

Just for the record what I write  is real life stuff, I don’t sit in a cellar some place like a few of my readers making things up. What you read has really happened, and you are getting my viewpoint on it. I’m not trying to be the next Ernest Hemingway or Jack London or the next literary sensation. But hopefully one of these days, my movie script will be at the place I want it to be.

I’m not anti American it is just that a few of you have helped to provide some humorous input into a couple of my articles. I thought you guys had a sense of humour. Why else would you walk around London wearing fanny packs and constantly get confused over the names of Bridges?

As for the crazy drunken Irish man I witnessed on the tube, I don’t honestly see why that has caused offense. I told the story in the most positive way I could, along with a few sprinklings of my dark humour.

Being serious for a minute I have met plenty of Americans and Irish over the years that I have got along with perfectly well. Also If I was to take offense every time I heard a joke regarding me being Scottish I would have to cart myself off to the lunatics asylum. Sometimes life is best not taken too seriously.

Evil and anti London Is Cool and the mighty William Wallace comments will not be tolerated unless they are to my liking! That’s just the way it is! My response to evil blog comments is quite simple really, I just hit the fucking delete button!

  1. Isn’t it strange how some people just do not understand the meaning of a personal blog.

I have found the people that react negatively have their own issues personal or otherwise on that subject or in their own lives. Hence the irrational verbal attack!

I have had one such comment asking me if i was a Professional Interrogator…lol.
I found that quite funny as the post was thought provoking questions relating to ones personal relationships.

I always respect ones judgment and opinion as long as they are warranted and non-judgmental.
I always enjoy your writing and your topic matters even if I may have different thoughts on the subjects.

    Have a great day!
