Escaped From London – Picture of the Week
It’s not often the Wandering Scotsman escapes from London. I’m having too much fun in the coolest city in the world … there is always so much happening that I don’t need to. Anyway, there will come a day when I have moved on from London and will be living some place else…a new adventure!
One of my rare trips out of London involved a couple of days spent in Stoke-on-Trent, which is in Staffordshire. A place that I enjoyed spending some time and would gladly return again to explore more. The countryside especially was a welcome break form the ‘Big Smoke’, the fresh air was fantastic!
During my trip I managed to take some time out from work and spend a fantastic afternoon at Trenham Gardens, a truly beautiful place. At the heart of the gardens is the mile long Trenham Lake, designed by Capability Brown, and which offers a fantastic 2 mile plus walk around it.
This weeks, Picture of the Week was captured at Trenham Lake, a place that is most definitely worth visiting…
