EastEnd Cabaret Bringing Modern Cabaret To The Stage
EastEnd Cabaret, are a modern cabaret duo who are taking London by storm with their monthly show at the legendary Cellar Door. And on Wednesday 25 August I will get the opportunity to enjoy the show for myself and find out all about Communism, dirty songs and puppet sex. Yes indeed I’m intrigued.
From the reviews I have read and the videos I have watched on Youtube, EastEnd Cabaret put on highly unique and entertaining show, which is hosted by the femme fatale Bernadette Byrne, who is accompanied on stage by the rather strange and beautiful Victor Victoria. The gin soaked duo offer up a selection of their own original songs, along with their version of appropriated tunes, including Right Said Fred and Britney.
I have been to a few cabaret shows in the past, but I have a funny feeling that I aint ever seen anything like what I’m going to see on Wednesday evening. Communism, dirty songs and puppet sex have got my mind working overtime!
The setting for the EastEnd Cabaret show, is the Cellar Door, which is from what I can gather an intimate venue that just has enough room to swing a cat and has been described as being a cross between 30′s Berlin meets New York jazz dive. Sound like it’s going to be a fun show in a nice little venue, which is my sort of evenings entertainment…
