Discarded Clothes – London Street Photography
Yesterday morning whilst out for a contemplative walk around my neighbourhood, I stumbled upon a pile of discarded clothes lying there on the pavement. The black bin liner which once held them was lying a few feet away… this simple scene disturbed me! It really did!
It was a pretty good bet that the bag full of clothes had been left outside one of the many charity shops that are located on nearby Kilburn High Road. It was also a pretty good bet that some lowlife scumbag had taken the bag and then ransacked it hoping to find something they liked or which they could sell for a few quid! I’m not a betting man, and I have never been in any of the many betting shops that line the high road, but I would bet a few quid on my appraisal of the situation!
I have even heard of people stealing bags of clothes from outside charity shops and selling their ill gotten gains on ebay and at car boot sales. What a world we live in…

I fear it will get worse before it gets better. Too bad too.
Have a terrific day.
