I can appreciate your concern for horses and your personal point of view. I personally feel that circus life for horses is the complete opposite of what you say. I think they get plenty of exercise and stimulation being part of a circus, much more than they would stuck in field munching on grass all day long.

I especially look forward to seeing those well trained and looked after horses performing at the circus and ask you to reconsider your opinion and get yourself along to see the amazing act for yourself. From what I have heard it shows horses to the best of their abilities….

Very sorry to hear you’re going to this circus. There are no wild animals here, as you say, and I’m delighted you think that’s a good thing. But do you really think domestic animals fare much better? The travel regime, the lack of proper ‘horse-style exercise’, the environment and the performance itself (training is a dangerous one – I won’t go there). Is the circus really an appropriate place for a horse? I hope you reconsider but, if you don’t, please look carefully at them in the ring showing the whites of their eyes and not looking at all comfortable (the last ’show’ I saw about 10 years ago – NEVER again!)

Having a grandmother whose family was Williamson, ‘ye ken’ i’ve Scottish blood roaring through my veins.

But i need a phrase or word that means, “Wow” or “oh my god!” or “Jeez!” – in Scottish. Can you help me out?
