Chilling Out In London’s Little Venice
I was wandering around Paddington in search of the legendary Aberdeen pub called the Rob Roy, when by chance I found the canal area, which is known as Little Venice. It doesn’t look too much like Venice but I suppose there is water!
Getting lost in London is something that I don’t mind doing on a nice day, especially when I haven’t got much planned. I invariable find some great places to explore and enjoy.
When I stumbled upon London’s Little Venice, I thought Rob Roy can wait until I have built up a thirst from having had a good walk exploring what the canals had to offer. I must admit the African girl that was walking in front of me, with the most amazing booty I have ever seen in my life, was another good reason for continuing my journey along the canal path.
The sun was shining brightly on this particular day and that combined with following the booty was making me real thirsty. I fortunately found a shop selling cold bottles of Miller Lager, which would aid my recovery. At a pound a bottle, I felt it would be a wee bit cheaper than the many inviting bars that surround Little Venice. Hell it is a recession after all.
Little Venice is great place to go for a scenic canal walk and to laze around at and chill out in relaxed surroundings. There is great feel to the area and I suppose the water helps to add a calming feeling and takes you a million miles away from the noisiness and craziness of normal life in London. I enjoyed myself so much lazzng around in Little Venice that my visit to the Rob Roy pub would have to wait for another day.
I personally feel the best way to enjoy and see what Little Venice in London is all about, is to just walk around and explore it for yourself, without having a guide book or a set route before you start off.
