Blast From the Past: Time Flies By
Time flies by living in London. It almost seems like yesterday that I made this amazing city my home: amazingly I have been here for over 4 years and 4 months… and best of all I haven’t even aged a day. HONEST!
One of the very first places I took the African Princess when we first started dating 4 years ago was the RAF Museum at Hendon in London, a much more interesting place to go than say standing outside the gates of Buckingham Palace – those big Iron gates and guards are to keep the crazy monsters inside! Such a boring place, the RAF museum on the other hand is a fantastic place to explore and soak up the history of flying machines.
A wee message of warning to my many readers from Thailand and the Middle East please don’t say anything negative about your own Royal Families or you may find yourself languishing in a rat infest jail cell for the next 10 years. One of the many great things about living in the UK is that we are allowed freedom of speech, I guess that is why so many oppressed people want to make the this great country their home… and who can blame them!
Somewhere in the English channel a team of salvage experts are currently in the middle of an operation to raise the last surviving Dornier 17 – German bomber plane – from its watery grave. Eventually it will go on display at the RAF Museum in North London alongside many other Battle of Britain aircraft.
RAF Hendon is well worth a visit and as I keep on saying there is much more to London than just Central London… MUCH MORE!
