Begging On Kilburn High Road Is A Job For Some!
There I was… wandering along Kilburn High Road at 10am this morning minding my own business when I noticed the beggar I had passed earlier on in the morning, ‘I’m homeless, can you give me some money,’ he said. I replied, ‘no!’ Only 30 minutes later, and there he was with a can of cheap lager in one hand, another hanging out of his jacket pocket and rubbing a scratch card with a pound coin trying to win his fortune!
I guess telling the gullible public that he was homeless, instead of saying can you give money so I can buy some lager and gamble is going to be more lucrative for the young man, instead of telling the truth.
I wonder if those who so willingly give money out of the kindness of their hearts realise they are helping this man to not bother trying to sort his life out, as well as helping him to kill himself by boozing himself to death. Giving people like the boozing, gambling beggar money is not a charitable act, it’s a criminal act!
I doubt if the man is homeless, his clothes were clean and he never stunk like a sewer. Unlike another High Road beggar who really is homeless. The shopping trolley filled full of all his belongings is a dead give-away, as is sleeping in a doorway, and his body and clothes are in need of a good wash!
Do you know why the guy who claimed to be homeless didn’t rush to the nearest takeaway for some food, instead of dashing straight to the booze shop? Well let me tell you! In London a homeless person wont go hungry, they all know where to go to get a free meal at various times of the day! The smarter beggars even have a selection of takeaways they occasionally frequent where the kind hearted owner will give them a free meal… yes it’s true!
If you really want to help those who beg for a living, don’t give them money! Guys like Mr 2 cans of cheap lager and scratch card are nothing but free loading parasites who want some easy money so they can live the easy life. It sure beats working for a living… well it does in their minds!
P.S I wonder why Mr Homeless guy ignored me when I offered to buy him something to eat… I think you all know the reason why!

We have the same issue here. Exactly the same. Homeless everywhere. They’ve taken over most parks and kids have to play elsewhere. It’s a crying shame.
Have a terrific day.
