Barclays Live London Winners Are DEM LOT
The winners of the London leg of the Barclays Live dance competition have just been announced and the winners were…wait for it…DEM LOT a Hip Hot dance group. Believe me these kids are talented and if they stay on the straight and narrow they will have a big future ahead of them!
I was actually at Leicester Square on the 31st of July and I was impressed with every act that made it through to the final five and the public voting stage. I personally couldn’t pick a winner on the day that’s how much I was impressed with each group’s performance. It was however a competition and there had to be a winner…
In the end DEM LOT ran out clear winners and with it they will receive a cheque for £1000 and VIP tickets to see Brendan Cole perform on his upcoming tour. I must admit I was surprised the competition wasn’t a wee bit closer. Nowadays if you don’t use things like Facebook, Twitter and blogs to your advantage you are not going enhance your chances of winning any competition that is down to a public voting system. It takes much more than talent in the 21st century and you can take that to the BANK!
Congratulations to DEM LOT for winning the London leg of Barclays Live, those youngsters put in an amazing performance on the day. And commiserations to the Definitives, Fusion, Remix and Retaliation, better luck next time! If you get a chance to watch any of these five dance acts perform live go do it…

Thanks for the coverage. I didn’t get to go down to have a look myself on that day. I guess Barclays Live isn’t at exactly X-factor or Britain’s Got Talent so that probably explains the level of competition.
