Awakening From The Dead
Do you ever get those mornings where you just can’t get going, you wake up and you feel like you have barley slept at all. Well today was such a morning for me. I had my usual 8 hours of sleep which is normally more than enough shut eye for me. Yet I woke up feeling like I had just ran the London marathon or had spent the night having fun with 3 beautiful virgins.
I had a quick shower and a power breakfast before I embarked upon my 4-6 mile walk that I do every morning. I was hoping once I got some spring air in my lungs and my legs got going I would be back in the land of the living. No such luck I made it as far as the park at Queens Park, which is about a mile away and I couldn’t take any more walking. I grabbed a seat in the quiet garden to rest my weary body. The strange thing was that my mind was also tired and possible even my soul.
I wish I could figure out why I was feeling so dam tired, normally when I wake up in the morning I’m feeling great and ready to enjoy another fantastic day and take what ever it throws at me in my stride. I even resorted to a can of energy drink, but I think I need to make a complaint about that advert they have on television, because it never done anything for me.
The last time I felt so out of it in the morning was when I was living in Barbados. Each morning I would get woken up around 4.30am by the next door neighbours roosters doing there thing. I could never get use to those pesky brutes making such a noise so early every morning. If my Staffie Mable was any sort of dog, she would have made the them flit or eaten them, but no that dog is big softy unless it involves fighting with unfriendly dogs!
To get myself going I have decided to resort to real drastic measures! Measures that could seriously damage my health. But a man’s got to do what a man’s got to do. I need to be awakened from the dead, I need some life in my body, mind and soul. The answer is MOTORHEAD, those heavy metal gods, if they cant waken me up, nothing can. I think I have still got hearing problems from the time I seen them at the Aberdeen Capital way back in the 1980′s, man where they fucking loud.
I’m just psyching myself up for the “Ace of Spades”, legendary stuff indeed. If this doesn’t work nothing will!

Once in a while I do get such a lousy start in the morning. With loads of work waiting, I have to push myself to complete the tasks. The Boss is not going to give me a day off to rest.
