Autumn Is Here – Picture of the Day From London Town

Picture of the Day was captured this morning in Paddington Old Cemetery, a historic  graveyard located in Kilburn, London. A magical place…

I’m a regular visitor to what is a very scenic cemetery at any time of the year. During the spring and summer months the home of the dead is full of flowers and trees in full bloom and a selection of small wildlife such as squirrels, birds, butterflies and moths. Now that summer is well and truly over, and the leaves are changing colour and falling from the trees Paddington Old Cemetery has become a kaleidoscope of colour.

Walking amongst the trees today I felt like I was in an enchanted forest. The ground was covered in a thick covering of leaves – orange leaves, gold leaves, yellow leaves and brown leaves. The once green leaves on the trees had almost all changed colour.

Like an excited child I tried my best to catch a leave as is fell to the ground, I failed miserable. Isn’t it good luck to catch a falling leave … I will be back again to give it another go before all the trees are naked. The Wandering Scotsman could do with some luck…

  1. I hate raking leaves. I’m glad we don’t have too many too. They are pretty, but from afar.

    Have a terrific day. 🙂
