At Rest – London Picture of the Day

At Rest – London Picture of the Day

Today’s London Picture of the Day was captured at Paddington Old Cemetery on a beautiful morning at around 8.30am – the air was warm, the sun was shining brightly and the sky was blue. The birds were singing, squirrels were running around and best of all there were only a handful of people in the Cemetery: a couple of dog walkers, 1 young girl out for a jog with her dog, an old geezer visiting his wife’s grave and my good-self.

Believe it or not, I’m not anti people or crowds – hell, I recently had a fantastic time at the Notting Hill Carnival and that was crazily busy – but sometimes I like to escape from it all for an hour or so to recharge my batteries, escape from the hustle and bustle of London life.

Today’s featured picture sums up what I’m doing at Paddington Old Cemetery I’m ‘At Rest’. You don’t need to be six feet under the ground in a coffin to get some rest at the local graveyard.
