An Amazing Picture Taken In Paradise | Seeing It Is Believing It
For many people especially those that have never been there before, Barbados is very much regarded as a paradise. Having holidayed there numerous times and lived there for a while, I personally wouldn’t quite call it paradise. Never the less it is an island that I would recommend for a holiday.
I was having a wee look at some of the many pictures that I took during my last trip to Barbados. When I came across one of the most amazing pictures I have ever taken in my life. One of the things I use to find totally unreal, when I lived there was watching the rain clouds far out at sea slowly inching there way to dry land. It was a wondrous spectacle.
I took this particular picture during a visit to Gun Hill signal station, which is a popular tourist attraction on the island that is well worth visiting. I had just arrived at the place with my wife, when the rain started to lash down. We ran for cover inside the historic signal station to avoid getting soaked . Because when it rains in Barbados, oh boy does it rain. You will get drenched to the skin in less than a minute.
It was amazing looking through the Gun Hill Signal Station tower window, just watching the torrential rain engulf the island. It looked like the rain was never going to end, but thankfully the dark grey rain filled clouds slowly started to drift away.
Paradise wasn’t meant to be like this, I want my money back, they never told me there were going to be tropical storms in the brochure. I’m only kidding, I’m doing an impersonation of an American tourist.
We must have been stuck in that tower all alone for around an hour, but there were more fun things to get up to than just watching the rain, if you know what I mean….!
