A Very Real Encounter With A Ghost In London

Before I tell you about my encounter with a ghost, spirit, ghoul or whatever it was, let me make one thing very clear, prior to this happening I was a total doubter and cynic as far as such things were concerned. You only have to watch Most Haunted or Derek Acorah in action for a few minutes and you know that it is all a figment of over active imaginations.

However due to one very real encounter, which happened a few days ago, right here in Kilburn in London, I now know that ghosts really do exist. I wasn’t under the influence of drink, drugs or anything else, but you never know the fumes from the polluted air of London may have made me hallucinate.

It was around midnight and I was standing in the middle of my living room, when I felt something brush past me and out of the corner of my eye, I saw a dark ghostly shadow walking behind me. I was stunned for a few seconds and I blinked and it disappeared into thin air. I’m 100% sure that what happened was real and that it was an encounter with a ghost or some sort of spirit.

What truly amazed me the most was that I never felt scared, spooked or uneasy about the presence of the ghost. Afterwards I just thought, wow was that really a ghost, and I then got back on with lazing around. The perception that we are given about ghosts is that they are a bad thing and we need to get rid of them, but in this case there was a feeling of complete calmness in my room, when the ghost appeared and then disappeared.

In the three months I have lived in my flat in Kilburn, London I have never at any other time had any ghostly experiences. So I don’t know if the ghost was passing through or if it followed me home from my trip on the Ghost Bus Tour, or when I went for walk in the graveyard up the road from me. It could even be my guardian angel who saved me from the brink of death, in the Atlantic Ocean in Barbados six months ago, that is however another story, which will have to wait for another day.

My encounter with a ghost in London was a very real experience, which I don’t really understand what it was all about, or whether it has any meaning to it or not. Was it just a ghost passing through by chance or was there some message for me, or will I get anther visit at some point in the future. Or maybe the ghost was just a big fan of my London Is Cool  blog. I suppose time will answer my questions.

Prior to my visit from the friendly London ghost, I would have called anybody that told my story a complete wackjob and lunatic, and that they were looking for something that wasn’t there. I personally know for a fact that there is something out there that we cannot explain or fully understand, but that it is very real.

  3. That is so cool…What exactly did it feel like to you…I mean how did you know? Was it like a breeze going right through you…lie some say?

I am very intrigued by ghosts/spirits!

  4. I knew there was a ghostly presence in my room because I physically felt it brush past me, as if it was a real person, the feeling was exactly the same. As well as the fact that I actually saw something that resembled a human being but was dressed all in black and was kind of faded.

I guess if prior to my experience with the London ghost, I wouldn’t have believed it if someone had told me the same story. But I now know that there are things that we as human beings will probably never truly understand

  5. No ways! I am terrified of ghosts and the dark (always have been). How am I meant to get to sleep now?

  6. What road in kilburn? Because I’ve recently moved to kilburn and I swear there’s a ghost in my room for past 4 nights
