Lecture
Date:
Thursday, 08 April 2010
Time:
18:30 - 21:30
Location:
Friends House Main Hall: 173-177 Euston Road, London, UK

The first in a series of forums discussing ‘alternative ways of governing our society’ will be held on

Thursday the 8th of April at the Friends Meeting House (main hall)
173-177 Euston Rd, London, NW1 2BJ, from 6:30pm – 9:30pm

Some organisations that have already begun this enquiry will be sharing their ideas at the inaugural
meeting. They include:

The Green Party
The Green Party believe that conventional politics has failed us because its values are fundamentally
flawed and that a radically new kind of politics is needed, one that puts changes in our values and
lifestyle at the heart of its agenda.

The Venus Project
The Venus Project presents a bold, new direction for humanity that entails nothing less than the total redesign of our culture. They are dedicated to confronting all of the serious problems that face our
modern society by actively engaging in the research, development, and application of workable solutions. The Venus Project offers a comprehensive plan for social reclamation in which human beings, technology, and nature will be able to coexist in a long-term, sustainable state of dynamic equilibrium.

SIMPOL (Simultaneous Policy)
SIMPOL is a movement of world citizens who use their votes to drive the politicians of all nations to
simultaneously implement the Simultaneous Policy (Simpol), a range of citizen-designed measures to
bring about economic justice, environmental security and world peace.
With simultaneous implementation, no nation suffers any first-mover competitive disadvantage so
politicians of all parties risk nothing if they support Simpol. By "adopting" Simpol, citizens pledge to
vote in future elections for ANY politician or party - within reason - that pledges to implement it. As
our numbers grow, politicians who fail to support it will increasingly lose their seats to those that do.
That's how Simpol puts citizens back in control.

A World to Win (Paul Feldman)
A World to Win campaigns for a transfer of political and economic power to the majority out of the hands of the global corporations, banks, hedge funds and speculators. At the general election it will urge people to 'hang on to their vote' rather than support any of the major parties. Paul Feldman is a journalist, writer and author of a number of books, including: 'A World to Win - a future without global capitalism'; 'A House of Cards - from fantasy finance to global crash' and 'Unmasking the State - a rough guide to real democracy'.

This country is filled with great minds and forward thinkers so let’s join
together to discuss alternatives to our current governance and take action to create a society that works for all of us.
