7 Infamous Residents Of London

London is a city that I have referred to in the past as being the Capital of Cool, which it is, but it is also quite possible the Capital of infamous residents. By infamous residents, I mean people that through their murderous or dastardly actions have become immortalised by the madness that they perpetrated.

Not all of my infamous residents of London were actually born in this crazy city, so I’m not sure if London made them crazy or whether they were mad, prior to moving here. But one thing I do know for sure is that by the time their sinister deeds had caught up with them, they would for ever by synonymous for them.

Even to this day, I’m sure there are a few residents of London, that give the outward impression that they are decent, normal, sane and law abiding person, but they are in fact a Jekyll and Hyde type of character, you know what I mean, they have a dozen bodies buried in the garden. They just haven’t been caught yet!

7 Infamous Residents Of London

1. Dennis Nilsen. Homosexual serial killer, who murdered 15 men between 1978 and 1983. He was originally born in Fraserburgh in Scotland, but committed his heinous murders in the Cricklewood and Muswell Hill areas of London. The scary thing is that he only got caught, when he blocked the household drain of his flat and this ultimately drew the  attention of the police. He is still alive and obviously in prison, but I’m sure there is some do gooder social worker out there that is telling the world he is cured and should be released.

2. Lucky, Lord Lucan. It was Novemeber 7th 1974 at precisely 9.45pm, when a distressed and bloodied Countess of Lucan, burst into the Plumbers Arms pub in Lower Belgrave Street in London, screaming that the Nanny had been murderd and that she had narrowly avoided the same fate. She later made a statement to the police that her husband Lord Lucan was responsible. This case is one of Britians most intruging and baffling mysteries, becaue Lord Lucan made a hasty escape and has never been seen or heard of from since. He was obviously so innocent that he wasn’t going to hang around and take his chances with the police and the courts of Britian. Whatever happened to Lord Lucan, well the police sure would like to know, but whether anybody really knows, who knows?

3. The Kray Twins. Ronnie and Reggie probably the two most infamous and notrioius London gangsters of all time. These two dominated and commanded the East End of London during the 1950′s and 1960′s and were inolved in armed robberies, arson, protection rackets, violent assaults including torture and  murders. Both of the gangster twins are dead now and living in hell.

4. Jack the Ripper. A butual, savage and unidentified serial killer, who killed at least 5 prostitutes in the poverty stricken area of whitechapel and nearby by districts in 1888. Most of the victimes had their  throats slashed, and were then were expertly mutilated, with the removal of various internal organs. Jack the Ripper was never caught and the real truth of the matter is that no one knows anything about him, only the maddness that he indulged in.

5. Ruth Ellis. Will be forever be known as the last woman to be hanged in Britian for the murder of her boyfriend David Blakely. On the 10th of Arpil 1955 Ellis shot Blakely six times out side the Magdala pub in Hampstead, London and on the 13th of July she paid the ulitmate price for her crime, when she was hanged from the gallows of Holloway Prison, she was 28 years old.

6. Viren Rastogi. A fraudster businessman that was involved in highly elebarate metals trading fraud, which conned 20 banks worldwide out of £383 million and was jailed in London last year for nine and half years. The lead SFO investigator at the time, Paige Rumble described the fraud as, : “This was a truly audacious and ruthlessly efficient fraud that ranged from the poorest areas of India to the corporate tower blocks of Manhattan.” Unbelievavble Viren Rastogi was only caught, after a fax error, when an elderly aide in Hong Kong sent the wrong documents to an auditor.

7. Robert Maxwell. Media tycoon, Israeli spy and fraudster who from the 9th floor of Maxwell House in London, he directed his empire of evil. Maxwell deserves to be for ever known as the scum bag that stole form the pension fund of his employees in order to prop up his failing business empire. He actually stole £400 million from 32,000 scheme members. Maxwell showed a level of greed and corruption, which was of a truly gigantic scale and showed the type of person that he truly was. People that worked hard all there life’s ended up with nothing and that is unforgiveable. May he rot in hell.

And this one hasn’t happened yet or is in the making!

8. Unknown. They haven’t been caught yet! Could it be you? Is it your next door neighbour? Is it your friendly postman? They are out there somewhere!
