5 London Happy Hours That Will Save You Some Cash

If you want to party in London and have a few drinks it sure can be an expensive business. In fact it can sometimes be a crippling experience for most of us. To help make things a wee bit easier on your pocket, I have put together a list of fairly decent bars that have happy hours, which I have personally frequented purely in the aid of RESEARCH and research alone. Not because I actually wanted to drink lots of cheap drink. No Way!

There are plenty more bars offering mind numbingly good happy hours in London, which I will hopefully find and get the opportunity to check out sometime in the near future. Not that I drink very often…..HONEST!

5 London Happy Hours That Will Save You Some Cash

1. The Old School Yard: If you are ever down by London Bridge this place may be worth popping into for a few drinks during happy hour. It seems a decent enough place, with a fairly good buzz to it during weekdays. I can imagine “The Old School Yard” is kinda mobbed at the weekend. And I don’t know if it is a good thing or not but there is a dance floor for those that want to do a bit of grooving.

5:30 to 8pm all night Sunday

2. Fifty Five Bar and Lounge: A Camden hotspot, which is a fairly cool place to hang out and like most happy hours in any half decent place, it gets rammed during happy hour. Make sure you stock up with plenty of cocktails when you finally get served and from what I can remember the music was buzzing. Don’t blame me that I cant remember, I had a few too many cocktails in the aid of research…!

6 to 8pm Monday – Saturday 2 for 1 cocktails
5 to 8pm Friday 2 for 1 cocktails
6 to closing time 2 for 1 cocktails 

3. Jewel Covent Garden: I truly love this place, it oozes style and the music is as cool as fuck. Enough said. Get in there at 6pm and catch the start of the happy hour, sit back and relax. I would also recommend grabbing yourself some nibblets to eat in the Jewel because they are rather tasty….

4. Walkabout Shepherds Bush: They have quite of few of these Walkabouts all over London and they really aren’t my thing.  I frequented the one in Bush when I was living there on a few occasions and it may not be the classiest joint in town but what they do is offer some of the cheapest booze you will find in London.

5. Be At One Hammersmith: They seemingly have a few places dotted all over London, but the one in Hammersmith is the one I have frequented on a few occasions in order to feed my cocktail addiction, I meant to say research. This is a stylish bar in Hammersmith that does cheapish cocktails and in happy hour they are a real bargain. Like any crowed bar during happy hour, get yourself at least 4 drinks each to keep you going when you finally get served…

Buy 1 cocktail get the same one free
Monday to Wednesday 5 to 8pm
Thursday to Saturday 5 to 7pm
Sunday 6 to 12pm

Remember folks to drink responsible and don’t get too drunk. It is however sometimes good to get out there and have some fun, life is a tad bit sweeter when you are drinking half price cocktails, believe me I know from experience…!
