5 Free Places To Take A Date In London That Will Impress The Pants Off Them

I hope that the title of this article doesn’t just grab the attention of all you guys and grils out there, that are cheapskates, just because your favourite word free, has been mentioned? Only kidding!

As the title says 5 free places to take a date in London, that doesn’t mean you don’t have to spend a little bit of money as well as time and effort to make the date extra special, when your at the free location.

If you want to make a lasting impression whether it is with your girlfriend, partner, wife or some wackjob you have just met from a Gumtree add (ah my sense of humour again) I personally feel that you should occasionally veer off the well trodden path and do something slightly different, that involves a bit of time and effort as opposed to doing something superficially impressive that costs a lots of loot.

So guys and girls of London, why not spend some time and effort this weekend planning and organising a date  and yes I said girls as well! You can go against tradition for once in your life and take your man out on a date.

As I said earlier just because the location for the date is free, that doesn’t mean you don’t have to make a wee bit of an effort and spend a few quid to make the date a memorable success and for those Gumtree dates, just stick with the free stuff, you can skip this bit! I have listed a few things that I feel will add to the ambiance and help to make the date a total success.

The secret to the success of your date lies in the preparation, which you will do before hand. Guys don’t break out into a cold sweat at the prospect of making an effort and the same goes to the girls. Romance requires effort and if you cant be bothered to put in the effort into a relationship, things will eventually end in disaster.

Put together a nice little picnic, make up some fancy sandwiches and get some fruits from your local market, and don’t forget the bottle of Cava. There you have it a nice little spread for around a tenner, which cant fail but to impress. Also don’t forget the tartan rug, that will add something special to the occasion, and if you want to take it step further bring along some good chilling out music to play. (If you need me to remind you to take some glasses and napkins, you are perhaps beyond help)

Before you head out for your romantic date, check the weather forecast before hand or it could end in disaster, but for the true romantics out there, the weather shouldn’t make much of a difference you just have to improvise!

This is a lovely post! I like free stuff! I love Greenwich Park and didn’t even realise that the National Maritime Museum was free!

  2. I love this article! It’s both funny and romantic! I found it through the Total Mind and Body Fitness Carnival.

I don’t currently live in London, but I’d love to travel there with my boyfriend. Sounds like a dream vacation!

I created a blog post on my own blog, Salad Sticks, about the carnival and have it linking back to your page so that others can enjoy the article as much as I have.

    Thanks!

  3. Very cool article. My girlfriend is always hinting at me to take her out on date’s, but with this economic climate FREE is good.

Anyhow I saw you have published another article about “strange dates”, I work for a paintball company, and we get a few first dates that come paintballing.

I don’t know what I would do if my daughter came home from her first date covered in bruises, and said she had fun ha ha.
