2010 Notting Hill Carnival Pictures Part II
My body, ears and head have just about made a full recovery from my weekend of enjoying the Notting Hill Carnival, which has been an annual event since 1964. I may not be a youngster any more, but I aint so old that I can’t handle loud music, huge crowds and an amazing party atmosphere…this Scotsman was loving ever second of it.
And a wee message to all those killjoys that come crawling out of the woodwork every year with their negativity against the Notting Hill Carnival…go get a fucking life! I have seen more trouble and craziness on a quiet Saturday night back home in Aberdeen than I have witnessed the last two years at the Carnival. I find it amazing that over 1 million people attended this years events, and the trouble there is in London with gangs, I find it a miracle that so little crime happens at Europe’s biggest festival.
And the good news is that from what I can gather the Notting Hill Carnival is going to get even bigger and better for the Olympic Games in 2012 and I for one cant wait. The Party is on…
