10 Must Photograph London Sights

London is a city, which  is a photographers dream. At virtually every turn you will come across iconic and famous sights that will have you snapping away like crazy on your digital camera. There is no point in coming to London and not taking pictures of those famous landmarks,  so that you  can show your friends and family when you get back home.

I would say that  for most tourists who  come  to London that there are certain attractions, places and sights that are must visit and photograph. I would call them London Icons, no trip to London would be complete without clapping your eyes on them.

The beauty of London is that each of the places I have listed, will look amazing whether you photograph them during the day or at night time when they are all lit up.

It hasn’t been an easy task compiling a list of 10 must photograph London sights, but after a lot of careful deliberation I have came up with my personal favourites.

10 Must Photograph London Sights

Big Ben/Houses of Parliament:

The most famous clock in the world is of course Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament,  offer loads of amazing picture taking opportunities, from a multitude of vantage points.

Trafalgar Square:

There are plenty of photo opportunities to be had in Trafalgar Square including Nelson column, the lions, the National Gallery and countless wackjobs that you will see wandering around!

Parliament Hill:

Parliament Hill, which is located within Hampstead Heath and  offers breathtaking views of the London Skyline. Arrive via Hampstead Heath overground station and you will just have a short and easy walk to the top of the Hill.

Greenwich Park:

Situated in the south east of London, Greenwich Park, which at its highest points offer some of the best views that you will find in all of London.

Primrose Hill:

Primrose Hill, which is more of a wee mound than a hill and  it will take all of 5 minutes to walk  to the top. However the views from the top of Primrose Hill are pretty darn good.

Buckingham Palace:

No visit to London can be complete without visiting Buckingham Palace and getting a few snaps of where the Queen lives.

Tower Bridge:

Arguable the most beautiful, famous and photographed bridge in the world. Tower Bridge really does look as good in real life as it does in pictures.

London Eye:

London Eye is probably the most famous modern London landmark, which sure makes for some amazing photos during the day or at night when it is all lit up.

River Thames:

Take a walk along the river Thames, especially in central London and you will have an unlimited amount of photo opportunities.

Piccadilly Circus:

I would recommend a night time visit to Piccadilly Circus for some spectacular pictures of it all lit up, just  like times square. As well as the countless wackjobs you will see loitering around all over the place.

Happy snapping in the world capital of cool, London. Memories fade in time, but photos will be an everlasting reminder as to why you have to come back and visit London again.
